I learned and played this song for my ward YW to sing as a Beehive when it was new and that was the yearly theme, and I gained a testimony of it then although I had plenty of years after as a teen to wonder about the structure and timing of the promise, and I had no idea what was coming in the next twenty years that would not seem like God was actually working things for my good so much. But in the last few years especially I’ve sung this song several times back to God as a way to tell Him I would like to see it happening more…in this season, as I was set apart for my current church calling two months ago, I was told I would learn even more that this principle is true, and is and will be true for me, and I have been noticing that I notice it in my own life and others’ stories for two months, but I don’t know if I had ever remembered this song again in connection with it. And today I hit another incident, and before I even realized that this was one such story, I realized that I was singing this song and it was the Lord singing it back to me again, showing me how, specifically in this thing in my life I have been struggling with and still might for a while, He knows exactly what the song is, and He knew when I was singing it twenty years ago what use it would have in my life later, and all the time between then and now He’s been working things together for my good even when it looked like He was letting them or causing them to fall apart.
