Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee (Cantata)
“Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee” is a cantata narrated from two points of view: modern and ancient. The program lasts about one hour. It is voiced for SSAATTBB, accompanied by piano and organ, with optional violin obbligatos for selected songs. The organ may be omitted if none is available. Solo parts are included for the two narrators (both sing solo selections, and a duet); and four soloists in a moderate range.
A note about narrators: Narrator #1 will portray a modern disciple of Christ, and Narrator #2 will portray a disciple from Christ’s time. They can be either men or women, though the program was written with women in mind. Both will sing solo selections, and they will perform one duet together. Light costuming is suggested for Narrator #2.
Light costuming is also suggested for each of the soloists in “The Mighty Wonder of His Love.”
All organ scores are supplemental except “Cast Your Burden on the Lord” which uses organ only. An alternate score for piano is available if you are not using organ.

Is there a organ score for the cantata Jesus the very thought of thee?
Hi Sally. How can I get organ accompaniments/parts and optional violin obligatos for the cantata “Jesus the Very Thought of Thee”? Are they available on your website for download? Thanks so much for sharing all of your beautiful music!
Hi Sally is there a place where I could find the organ parts for this cantata on your site?
Hello! I’ve been asked to prepare an Easter musical devotional for our Durango, Colorado stake. I love your music, and have been going through it to find the right possibilities. I know we cannot do a complete cantata, and hope that is acceptable to you. Because our stake is geographically challenged, it is difficult to pull together big choir practices. (Many are one or even 2 hours away from the stake center.) Most wards in our area do not have ward choirs, so, often, we just find people who sing and try to get together when we can and assign out solos and small groups for some songs. We have never had a musical fireside for Easter, but I feel like we
I wondered if your scripts for speakers are available as well as the music.
Thank you so much for answering. I know you must be very busy, but it would be very appreciated!

We are learning the Easter Cantata “Jesus the Very Thought of Thee:
Thank you for this wonderful arrangement. The spirit is so strong as we learn this music. I was hoping to find audio help in learning either by parts or a utube of the performance that we could use to perfect our presentation.
I remember find alto part on the web for the Messiah and was hoping to find help for alto and bass parts for this contata. We perform in a week so this is too short notice but wondered if there is a place on your website to help with parts that I am missing.
