Lyrics

Come, good people, to the stable
Hasten to the manger-side
Come, behold the Infant holy
Come and see the blessed Child
Come and follow, one and all
Come see him lying in the stall
For He is born, the Child divine

Faithful shepherds watching ever
O’er their flocks by dark of night
Wondering, fearing, tidings hearing
‘Mid a glorious, shining light
Music ringing
Angels singing
News of joy and comfort bringing
He is born, the Child divine

    Dear Ms. DeFord,

Thank you so very much for making your music available!
My community choir is preparing to sing this song for our Christmas concerts. Last year we started a children’s choir, so they are joining us as well. We also have a bell choir. Most of them sing in the choir, but we have a few ringers only, so this works out perfectly!

I recall there was an organ part (separate from the piano) for this piece. If so, how can I obtain it?

    Hi Sally,
I just wanted to say thanks for all of this beautiful music. I don’t know how many years I’ve been using your music, but it must be at least 15 years! I just printed out another song for our Branch Choir to use for this upcoming Christmas season, and I just felt like I should say “Hi”, and “Thanks!!!” You are so generous with your talents, and you’ve been a real inspiration to me.

    Love,
    Heather Hansen
