In the Silent Garden
About the Song
Anthem accompaniment includes piano, organ and two flutes. This is a difficult number to prepare, and sounds best with a large choir.
This song is part of the “In Him We Live” cantata.

Lyrics
Come at the dawn to the silent garden
Brightly beams the morning sun
Come at the dawn to the silent garden
See what wonder the Lord has done!
Come to the tomb in the silent garden
Lo! the stone is rolled away
Linger in awe, for the tomb lies empty
See the place where His body lay
He is risen! He is risen! risen unto endless life
Weep no more in the silent garden
Death is swallowed up in Christ
Seek Him no more in the silent garden
Seek Him not among the dead
Find Him in glory among the living
Risen even as He said
Victory is wrought in the silent garden
Joy is born of an empty tomb
Sing for the morning of our salvation
Christ has brought us life anew
He is risen! He is risen! risen unto endless life
Weep no more in the silent garden
Death is swallowed up in Christ

I would love a recording of this song. It looks so beautiful! I love all the wonderful, beautiful songs I am able to find here for my choir!
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful music. Our church choir sings a lot of your songs.
We sang the anthem “In the Silent Garden” this Sunday. I am so appreciative of all the songs of yours I have used as choir director, but this one especially touched me. I continued to discover layers of meaning in the song up to and including the performance in sacrament meeting. My testimony was strengthened through this process.
The generous way in which you share your musical creations is also an inspiration to me. Thank you for all you do.
