We need Help. We all need Help.

Dear Friends,
Our world needs divine Help.
We are of diverse faiths, but we are children of the same God, and He loves us and wants to bless us.
In my faith, we often fast–go without food and drink–for short periods of time (usually two meals, or 24 hours) as a witness to our Heavenly Father that we trust Him, and as a petition for His further blessings.
This Friday–Good Friday–members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are joining in fasting and prayer for our pandemic-stricken world.
Those who are unable to abstain from food and drink are invited to pray for His help. Some have chosen to fast in some other way–giving up something of their choice.
If you feel inclined to participate, please join us in asking our Heavenly Father that this pandemic may be controlled; that our caregivers may be protected; that our economies may be strengthened; and that we can soon return to normal life.

What a wonderful use of your blog to reach beyond our cultural halls. May we petition the Lord in our daily prayers, as well. Hopefully, very soon we can return to our Church meetings and the Temple! God bless and keep all of His children well and safe!
I have fasted every Sunday since this thing got serious- but it is so much more strengthening and joyful when we fast together- and with people of all faiths, and even no faith! Add in some beautiful music as “a prayer unto me” and this is time we can treasure and always remember.

Thank you for all of the lovely music you give us Sally..I am LDS too and will be praying and part fasting, because of ill health, on Good Friday. The power of prayer is amazing and coupled with fasting even more powerful. xx
