Lyric’s Lyrics, and Lyric’s Melody
Mar 14, 2012
And so, said Lyric’s Mommy, Lyric is named after me. I still grin every time I think about it.
That impression stayed with me as I wrote Lyric’s lyrics, and I thought how Jesus taught with small things–sparrows, and lilies. And this scripture also came to mind:
spends a day as “I-Can’t-Do-It-Lyric,”
…or, “I’ve-Made-an-Awful-Mess-of-Things-Lyric,”
…or runs up against any of the myriad disappointments and challenges we all have to live through…
…she’ll remember that He loves the sparrows, He tends the lilies, He counts the stars and calls each by a name of its own, and no matter how small she is or how small she feels, she is important to Him.
(Just a final note… I think they need to have several more children and name them things like “Echo” … um…”Quaver”?? “Mordent” ?? “Appogiatura” ??? Okay, I’ll leave off. Though I actually like “Echo.”)
