New Song: Come, Lift Your Voice to Christ the King (A Song of Thanksgiving)
I composed a thanksgiving song! The first I have ever done!
Ummm…
Okay, maybe one or two… or seven… seven? … before that.
I guess I just like being thankful. Truly.
New this time is a song called “Come, Lift Your Voice to Christ the King,” written in
collaboration with Katherine Wright. Katherine has provided the scores in solo, duet, and SATB formats. She has also included a flute obbligato which I just love.
Here’s the solo version, sung by Rebecca Lord, with flute by Brenda Lord.
I am so thankful to work with these amazing musicians. I am truly blessed.
As for the next song? Well, I’m afraid the coffer is empty. I have relied on my husband, my friends, and various music professionals (shout out to Daniel Bloomberg and Dave Zimmerman) to help me finish up the last songs in my files. I need to get my self (and my language… and my piano playing skills… and… and… and…) in order.
It may a take me a good, long while. After that, who knows?
